Questions
What does Ketu in the 10th house mean in Vedic astrology?
Ketu signifies detachment, spiritual insight and the past; the 10th house (Karma) governs career, status, authority and public deeds. Obstacles to good works and blameworthy acts, yet brilliant, brave and very famous.
Is Ketu in the 10th house good or bad?
Neither on its own. The texts change the result with the planet's dignity (exalted, own sign, debilitated), the planets joined with it or aspecting it, and the strength of the house lord; the conditional lines above show how. The result then ripens in the planet's own period (daśā).
How do I know which house Ketu is in?
You need your birth date, time and place. The free Vedastro calculator computes the sidereal (Lahiri) chart and shows the house of every planet.
