Questions
What does Ketu in the 8th house mean in Vedic astrology?
Ketu signifies detachment, spiritual insight and the past; the 8th house (Randhra) governs longevity, obstacles, hidden matters and inheritance. Very sickly.
Is Ketu in the 8th house good or bad?
Neither on its own. The texts change the result with the planet's dignity (exalted, own sign, debilitated), the planets joined with it or aspecting it, and the strength of the house lord; the conditional lines above show how. The result then ripens in the planet's own period (daśā).
How do I know which house Ketu is in?
You need your birth date, time and place. The free Vedastro calculator computes the sidereal (Lahiri) chart and shows the house of every planet.
